1 Watt C-Band Booster EDFA – EYDFA-C-HP-BA-30-SM-M21/M31 Product Demo & Key Features

Civilaser Customizable 30 dBm C-Band EYDFA Module: Power Born from a Decade of Expertise
With over ten years of specialized experience in optical amplification, Civilaser proudly introduces the EYDFA-C-HP-BA-30-SM-M21/M31—a high-power Er/Yb co-doped fiber amplifier that delivers 30 dBm (1 Watt) of saturated output across the C-band (1535–1565 nm). Built on a reliable, field-proven design, this compact module serves demanding applications in fiber-optic communications, distributed fiber sensing, and lidar, while our decade-long track record means every unit can be precisely tailored to your system requirements.
The module accepts a wide input range from -6 to +10 dBm and reaches its full 30 dBm saturated output with just -3 dBm input, offering generous gain that can be adjusted smoothly from 10% to 100%. A noise figure below 6.0 dB and gain flatness ≤1.0 dB across the operating band preserve signal quality, while polarization-dependent gain ≤0.5 dB and polarization mode dispersion of merely 0.5 ps ensure transparency for high-speed modulation formats. Input/output isolation exceeds 35 dB, and both input and output optical power levels are monitored in real time, enabling precise system control. Three working modes—ACC, APC, and AGC—are supported through the standard RS232 serial interface, giving integrators full flexibility.
Two sleek form factors are available: the M21 (125 × 150 × 21.5 mm) and the slightly taller M31 (125 × 150 × 31.5 mm). Both run on a single 12 V DC supply drawing less than 60 W, employ SMF-28 single-mode fiber with FC/APC connectors, and maintain stable performance from -5 °C to +35 °C thanks to Civilaser’s advanced thermal management and high-power laser packaging.
What truly distinguishes this EYDFA is Civilaser’s deep commitment to customization—an ability that only matures through a decade of real-world project experience. While the standard module already meets a broad set of needs, we regularly adapt specifications for OEM and research partners: extended or shifted wavelength bands, alternative gain profiles, custom output power levels, different fiber types and connector styles (such as LC/UPC), modified control interfaces (Ethernet, analog, or touchscreen), and even bespoke mechanical housings. Our agile engineering team delivers rapid prototypes and cost-effective small-to-medium batches, so you receive an amplifier that fits electrically, optically, and mechanically without compromise.
Whether you are scaling a DWDM transmission line, building a Brillouin or Rayleigh-based sensor interrogator, or amplifying seed pulses for a fiber laser, Civilaser’s decade of photonics expertise ensures you get a reliable, high-performance engine.
