EDFA-C-PA-35-SM-B1 Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier C-Band Pre-Amplifier 35dB SM Fiber Desktop Type
The C-band erbium-doped fiber small-signal amplifier (PA amplifier) is an amplifier for weak optical signals in the -45dBm to -25dBm power range. It offers a typical small-signal gain of 35-45 dB and a low noise figure. It is typically used to improve a system's ability to detect weak optical signals.
There are two types EDFA.(Current product is Pre-Amplifier type.)
Pre - Amplifier, referred to as PA, that is preamplifier, used in the -35dBm ~ -25 dBm range of small light signal amplification, typical gain of 35 dB;
Booster - Amplifier, referred to as BA, is used to enhance the power of the optical signal in the range of - 6 ~ +10 dBm, with a maximum output power of 27 dBm;

Note:
This EDFA product is designed for single wavelength signal input within the operating wavelength range, regardless of the gain spectrum flatness when multiple wavelengths are input simultaneously. As shown below, the EDFA-C-PA-35 small signal amplifier can achieve high gain amplification for input signals of different wavelengths in the C-band (multiple wavelengths are not simultaneously input to the EDFA in the figure), and the input power of a single wavelength is -35dBm , the effective gain is greater than 35dB, and the amplified signal-to-background noise ratio is greater than 30dB.
