5W High Power SM Fiber Amplifier YDFA-37-SM-B

Today, we’ll take a detailed look at how to operate this new CivilLaser touchscreen Ytterbium-doped fiber amplifier. Let’s check it.

This is a Ytterbium-doped fiber amplifier. High power YDFA has built-in cooling fan. Here is a desktop type, customizable module fiber amplifier.
The working mode can be set to ACC or APC. Click the Mode area to switch the working mode. In ACC(Automatic Current Control) mode, set the operating current. In APC(Automatic Power Control) mode, set the output power. Use the up and down arrow keys on the right side of the screen to adjust the corresponding parameters. We can also click ‘Power Set’ or ‘Current Set’ to enter the value you want.

Ytterbium-doped fiber amplifier (YDFA) generates gain by pumping ytterbium-doped fiber with semiconductor laser, and is used to amplify optical signals in the 1030~1080nm band. The output power is continuously adjustable, and it has the advantages of high gain and low noise. The desktop YDFA is convenient for experimental operation, and the user can adjust the pump current and output power through the panel. A more compact modular YDFA is also available to facilitate user system integration. Both the desktop YDFA and the modular YDFA can support host computer software control and serial port command control.
