Regarding customs clearance of goods shipped to the United States (packages that have been officially declared for customs)
we provide the following two methods. Please choose the appropriate option according to your needs:
Option A: The recipient clears customs by himself (pays tariffs on delivery)
Applicable to: Customers with US corporate qualifications (providing EIN) and FedEx payable accounts.
Process description:
Recipient information: The recipient must provide a valid FedEx account and EIN (employer identification number).
Self-clearance: After the goods arrive in the United States, FedEx will contact the recipient directly to handle customs clearance and pay tariffs.
Freight adjustment: If the order has prepaid $15 freight, we will refund it.
Notes:
Only for corporate recipients (individuals or customers who cannot provide EIN cannot choose this method).
The tariff amount is subject to the approval of the US Customs, and FedEx will send the bill within 2 weeks after signing.
Option B: The sender prepays tariffs (DDP terms)
Applicable to: Customers who need to simplify the customs clearance process and want fast delivery.
Process description:
Prepaid tariffs: We pay the tariffs on your behalf through the cooperative logistics platform (charged to you according to the actual amount).
Fast customs clearance: Goods can usually be released directly after arriving at the port to avoid delays.
Transparent fees: The tariff amount is calculated in real time based on the logistics platform, and there are no hidden fees.
Additional information on FedEx customs clearance policy:
Tariff payment process: US imported packages are usually delivered first, and then FedEx sends the tariff bill to the recipient (within 2 weeks after signing).
Risk reminder for senders:
Before the recipient pays the tariff (regardless of whether the tariff bill is issued), FedEx will freeze the sender's account with an equal amount of security deposit.
If the account balance is insufficient, FedEx will suspend the sending account authority, affecting subsequent shipments.
Please reply with your choice (Option A or B).
