Regarding the tariffs for parcels shipped to the United States, according to the latest policy, you are now required to confirm the tariff payment method, as follows:

Tariff Policy for Imported Packages from the United States

(Small parcels with a declared value of less than US$800)

1. Adjustment of the Duty-Free Policy

According to the latest regulations of the U.S. Customs, from May 2, 2025, all small packages originating from China will no longer enjoy duty-free treatment and must pay corresponding tariffs in accordance with regulations.

2. Latest Tariff Calculation Standards

(Note: The tax rate may be adjusted within the next 90 days)

From the effective date of the Sino-US Joint Statement on May 14, 2025, the following tax calculation rules shall apply:

  • Ad valorem tax rate: 54% of the declared value
  • Specific tax amount: US$100 per piece
  • Note: The final tariff amount will be levied according to the higher of the two.

Tariff Payment Plan Selection

To facilitate your smooth customs clearance, we provide the following two tariff processing methods:

Plan A: The Recipient Clears Customs on Their Own

Applicable to: Enterprises with customs clearance qualifications or regular import customers

Processing Procedures:

  • Provide FedEx cash on delivery account
  • Enterprise customers need to provide EIN number
  • Individual customers need to provide SSN/ITIN number
  • FedEx will contact you for customs clearance after the package arrives in the United States
  • Advantages: Import records can be declared in compliance.

Plan B: Merchant Prepays Tariffs on Behalf of Customers (Recommended)

Applicable to: Most customers who want to simplify the process

Service Description:

  • Prepay tariffs through our cooperative logistics platform
  • Declared value range of this batch of packages: $50–$180 USD
  • Applicable fixed tariff: $100/piece (specific tax standard)
  • We will send you the tariff bill via PayPal Invoice.
  • Advantages: Fast customs clearance time (average shortened by 3–5 working days), no need for recipient operation

Special Suggestion: Considering the convenience of operation and customs clearance efficiency, we recommend choosing Plan B. If you confirm this plan, we will send you a $100 tariff prepayment bill.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the current logistics process.

Regarding shipments to the U.S., the current procedure is as follows:

  1. The courier will advance the customs duties and complete delivery.
  2. The corresponding amount will be temporarily held from the shipper’s account deposit.
  3. Within two weeks, the customs duty invoice will be issued to the recipient.
  4. The frozen deposit will only be released after the recipient has paid the duties in full.

This process creates significant financial pressure and potential risks for logistics providers. As a result, most logistics companies now only support prepaid duty (DDP – Delivered Duty Paid) shipping models.
